SDW17 foregrounds the necessity of sustaining a dialogue among the many disciplines that play a role in shaping the built environment and posits the potential of this multidisciplinary mode of operation as a platform for innovation.
Set against the backdrop of Beirut city that has had its fair share of conflict, Sustainable Design Week and the workshops will engage the manifold challenges that Beirut and similar cities face today and will zoom in to consider how the building envelope acts as a dynamic interface between climate, the interiors and eventually the person.
